His journey began 35 years ago when he started representing talent in the entertainment industry and his advocacy skills were honed during 20 years as a partner at the most prestigious talent-based entertainment law firm in the country. Mr. Holtz started his own firm in 2018 at the start of the #MeToo movement, a time of significant cultural change and heightened awareness surrounding workplace misconduct. From the outset, he was determined to build a firm that stood on the right side of history, advocating for those who had been wronged and fighting for a more just and equitable workplace.
His legal career has been defined by a dedication to representing vulnerable individuals facing challenging circumstances. He understands the complexities of entertainment and employment law and the sensitive nature of these cases. Mr. Holtz is committed to providing his clients with not only skilled legal representation, but also the compassionate support they need to navigate difficult, emotionally taxing cases.
Jordan Matthews
As a founding partner of Holtz Matthews LLP, Jordan Matthews brings a wealth of experience and a relentless drive to the firm. He is a highly accomplished attorney, whose background includes representing clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters, including entertainment disputes, employment litigation, sexual assault and harassment matters, in addition to commercial disputes, ranging from breach of contract and fraud matters, to business partnership disputes.
He has a proven track record of success, including securing favorable outcomes in high-stakes lawsuits. Notably, Mr. Matthews represented the primary witness from the Wall Street Journal bombshell expose, "Dozens of People Recount Pattern of Sexual Misconduct by Las Vegas Mogul Steve Wynn," encompassing five years of litigation that lead to cases filed in the United States Supreme Court twice along with the filing of a civil RICO case alleging bribery and corruption. Investigations were triggered, leading to a record $55 million in fines against Wynn Resorts, and a $10 million fine against Steve Wynn, banning him from the Las Vegas gaming industry. The Nevada Gaming Control Board also changed its rules governing gaming licensees.
This demonstrates Mr. Matthews' willingness to fearlessly challenge powerful opponents and pursue justice for his clients.
